beCloud handed "technical administer" role for management of national domains

According to TeleGeography the Operative Analytical Centre, working under the President of the Republic of Belarus, has prepared Order No. 138 (dated 25 August 2021), under which the country’s national infrastructure operator Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud) will assume the functions of a technical administrator for national domains from 1 January 2022.

In a press release, beCloud noted that there are currently some 150,000 domains registered in the national domain zone – i.e. .BY and .BEL. beCloud will replace Reliable Programs LLC (hoster.by) which has served as the technical administrator of the national domain zone since 2011.
