According to BelTA Belarusian TV channels have gained their foothold in the Internet, Deputy Information Minister of Belarus Vladimir Matusevich told media at the annual tibo-2014 Internet award on 24 April.
“Our national TV channels have gained a foothold in the Internet. Today we can speak about a full-fledged Internet television in Belarus,” Vladimir Matusevich said. In his words, many interesting projects have appeared recently, and the works submitted to the competition testify to the fact. It was hard to select the winners of tibo-2014.
According to the official, the website of the BelTA news agency has made great headway. “Today the news agency is by right one of the leading information resources in the post-Soviet space,” he added.
Many websites containing useful information have been nominated for the tibo-2014 Internet award. “There are developments in the area of medicine which make the life easier. For instance, they provide people with an opportunity to make an appointment with the doctor or get necessary information online. Earlier one has spent a lot of time for it. Today only an access to the global computer network is needed to get answers to many questions and get services one requires,” Vladimir Matusevich said.
