Belarusian Fund of Informatization to be liquidated by August, 2007

On May, 14th 2007 The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus issued resolution #579 " About separate questions of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization", according to which the Fund of Informatization is to be liquidated by August, 1st, 2007.
Also this decision subordinates to the Ministry of Communications and Informatization scientifically-engineering republican unitary enterprise "Institute of applied program systems", transferred with the consent of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
The Resolution stipulates for changes in the Belarusian state program of informatization for 2003-2005 and on prospect till 2010 "Electronic Belarus". In addition to that amendments are to be made to some other regulations, including Regulations on state registration of information resources and Standing orders on the Ministry of Communications and Informatization.
According to the new regulation, Ministry of Communications and Informatization will be clothed with more authority. The Ministryt will supervise the state registration of information resources (instead of Academy of Science). Belarusian state enterprise Institute of applied software will also be subordinated to the Ministry
