Belarus' Integral to develop new integrated circuits

06/01/2018

According to BelTA the Belarusian company Integral will develop new integrated circuits under the project of the state innovative development program for 2016-2020, Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin noted as he visited the company on 4 January.

The project is innovative, makes part of the fifth technological paradigm. It features new products: bipolar integrated circuits on 150-mm-diameter wafers with 0.8 micron design rules. Once developed and implemented, the bipolar technology on 150-mm-diameter wafers will help produce new import-substituting photosensitive devices and integrated circuits for Belarus. The state innovative development program for 2016-2020 covers another three projects of the Integral company. Two of them have already been finished, one designed to produce new products for Belarus - epitaxial structures using new technological processes, and the other one to manufacture various types of focal planes on the basis of photosensitive devices for Earth observation and remote sensing. At the moment, the company is working on a promising technology to package integrated circuits to make items for industrial or special purposes. The innovative project is based on domestic technologies and makes part of the fifth technological revolution. It is about developing and implementing a new packaging technology for Belarus, which helps make new products meeting the international standards for technologies developed according to submicron design rules.
