Over 900m people in 160 countries use mobile apps developed in Belarus

According to BelTA over 900 million people in 160 countries use the mobile applications developed in Belarus, the press service of the Hi-Tech Park (HTP) of Belarus told BelTA on the occasion of the 10th anniversary since the day the Park registered its first resident companies.
The first few resident companies were registered in Belarus' Hi-Tech Park on 1 June 2006. At present the Hi-Tech Park is home to 152 companies that employ about 25,000 engineers, with about 3,000 new jobs created every year. In the last ten years Belarus' software export has increased by more than 46 times. In the ten years the business model went all the way from simple outsourcing to the full cycle of software development. Instead of simply coding programs to match the customer's specifications, HTP resident companies work together with the customer's teams to take care of the product's development from the design stage to the deployment stage. According to Forbes, five out of the world's ten top corporations are customers of the companies residing in the Hi-Tech Park. HTP companies work hard to develop IT consulting, IT auditing, and systemic analysis services. The management of development and deployment of integrated information systems and technologies is available as a service. The development and deployment of information and communication technologies as well as software solutions in Belarusian industrial companies and other organizations is an important part of the HTP work. At present HTP resident companies satisfy 80% of the Belarusian economy's demand for information technologies. High qualifications of Belarusian specialists have attracted the attention of foreign investors to Belarus and have contributed to the arrival of major international companies and the world's leading technological companies. They have started opening their development centers in the Park. A number of large international IT companies are now represented in the Hi-Tech Park such as InterActiveCorp, Rakuten, SK Hynix, IHS, Playtech, and Yandex.
