Radio Belarus steps up online presence

According to BelTA Radio Belarus is expanding its presence in the global media space.

The Belarusian state TV and radio company Belteleradiocompany and the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have launched a joint project to allow Radio Belarus to stream online via the Ministry's website http://www.belarusfacts.by/ .

By accessing the website visitors can now read and hear all the information they would like to learn about Belarus in eight languages: Belarusian, Russian, English, German, Polish, French, Spanish, and Chinese. Thanks to the new Internet project reporters and diplomats will work together to make a contribution to the promotion of Belarus' positive image abroad.

Naum Galperovich, Chief Director of Radio Belarus, noted that cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a priority task in international broadcasting. News released by the Ministry regularly go on air and the website of Radio Belarus and can be heard in Belarusian, Russian, English, and German. On the one hand, the new practice allows increasing the number of listeners, on the other hand, it enhances capabilities of the website www.belarusfacts.by.

Radio Belarus has been on air since 1962. The total volume of original daily broadcasts is 26 hours at present. The radio station offers programs about Belarus' political, economic, and sociocultural life.
