Belarusian ICT and WTO membership

Belarusian Ministry of Economy and Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Belarus published a survey "On social and economical consequences of WTO membership for Belarus"
In the section devoted to ICT, it is noted that major prerequisites of the WTO membership for Belarus are equal competition terms and equal taxes for domestic and foreign ICT producers and service providers.
At the same time, there is an apprehension that Beltelecom and private ICT providers are not ready to compete on equal terms with foreign companies.
