Belarus Mobile Users, April 01, 2010ZTE , Huawei Technologies, Ericsson and Alcatel to bid for BeST contract

According to Andrei Povorotov, BeST chief marketing manager, ZTE Corporation (China), Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd (Hong Kong), Siemens (Germany), LM Ericsson International AB (Sweden) and Alcatel Trade International ( Switzeland) will participate in the bidding for supplying equipment, software and services for the third Belarusian GSM 900/1800 operator BeST.
Andrei Povorotov informed that bidding proposals had been announced on May 16, and the decision would be taken in 20 days after that.
State owned Belarusian GSM operator BeST is registered by Minsk City Executive Committee on November, 5, 2004. BeST was founded by Beltelecom (25%) and by state owned enterprise Agat (75%). Authorized fund of the company makes 125KEUR and is completely brought in the monetary form.
