Internet Advertising Market Shows Rapid Growth in Belarus

According to Belapan information and advertising agency assessment annual Internet ads sales result will result USD 500 000 by the end of 2005 which is 2 times more than in 2004.
Internet Advertising in Belarus
According to the Association of Advertising Agencies data, USD 40-45 mln were paid for advertising, including USD 20mln - for TV ads and USD 7mln - for outdoor ads and USD 1 mln (2,5%) for Internet advertising.
The major internet advertisers in April 2005 are GSM operators (MTS, Velcom) , car dealers (Ford, Mazda, Opel), Adidas, ISP Atlant Telecom, Ericsson, National Academy of Science, Masmi research group. The later used banners in the framework of "The Online monitor" project aimed at Belarusian internet audience studying.
