The National State Teleradiocomany launches satellite broadcasting via Intelsat 904 (60 degree longitude, videostream speed 4 Mbit/sec, FEC 3/4, symbol flow rate - 2,893 Msymb/sec, frequency 11,48 GHz, vertical polarization).
Mir (MGTRC) equipment is to be used for terrestrial broadcasting.
It is expected that the new digital channel will provide better BT broadcasting quality for the whole territory of the country. Besides it will create new opportunities for Russian and Ukrainian TV programmes reception in Belarus.
